Isolation Flowers is a photographic study of flowers and a selection of self portraits taken during the Covid-19 lockdown. Being stuck inside and forced to work from home, the project was a way of bringing the beauty and hope of nature back into my world.
For me, photographing flowers is a form of meditation, enabling me to explore themes of ephemerality and growth. During this time self portraits were also a helpful way to process and unpack my internal response to the situation. They became a way of acknowledging my struggle with self discipline and a reminder of the need to listen to the voice of compassion rather than fear.
