Bio
Brittany Hefren is an Australian photographer and artist based in London. Working primarily with photography, alongside poetry, collage, illustration and participatory projects, she explores how cultivating attention can uncover moments of wonder hidden within everyday life.
Drawn to the quiet details of daily life, Brittany collects photographs, handwritten reflections and small moments of wonder gathered on walks through neighbourhoods and natural landscapes. Sincerity, curiosity and childlike awe underpin her practice, uncovering stories of beauty and connection within familiar places and fleeting moments. She often reworks her photographs through collage and experimental image-making, extending the act of observation into one of reflection, play and transformation.
Alongside her artistic practice, Brittany has worked across community arts, communications and creative engagement, developing projects that connect, inspire and develop artists, audiences and communities. Whether creating a photograph, designing a workshop or facilitating a public project, she is interested in how creativity can help people notice more deeply, experience wonder more often and build meaningful connections with each other and the places they inhabit.
