Neighbourhood Notes is a collection of photographic and written observations, reflections and thoughts on the experience of occupying a liminal space during a season of change. It houses an attempt to pay attention and seek wisdom from my surroundings through observing the rhythms and rituals of the outside world on my daily walks.
This work is about resting in confusion and playing in uncertainty. It is an acknowledgement of the importance of making time to process thoughts, and being okay with the possibility of finding more questions than answers. When the pattern of your attention changes, you render reality differently, and your experience of each moment changes.
My works in the Nest Studio Collective debut exhibition Self and Surrounds are remixed reinterpretations of the ideas and images within my book.
