Hello friends!
So it turns out my ambition to write a newsletter on this trip hasn’t quite matched the reality of being on the road at the pace we have been traveling. So much to take in, not a whole lot of time to reflect (or process images from my camera).
I was a bit frazzled after the whirlwind of packing and wrapping up everything to move abroad. It’s taken a little while to settle into this new rhythm, but at least the exhaustion of it all helped me sleep on the plane over.
Today I have a moment sitting on the train to Rome from Venice, so here are some photos from Amsterdam. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was with people mostly biking and walking. It was a nice way to start off the trip and find our feet.

Delicious pastries by the canal included cinnamon and cardamom buns (my favourite). We also tried Van Stapele chocolate cookies. I fear these will become a staple treat for any future visits to Amsterdam. Chefs kiss.

A random stop in at Sam & Julia’s mouse mansion museum was a very cute addition.

Canal cruises, one with pizza in Amsterdam, and another alongside farmland to view the iconic windmills in Lisse. Very peaceful.

Tulip farms in Lisse and the stunning Keukenhof gardens! I took lots of photos but it was still tricky to capture just how expansive and beautiful these places were. A dreamy way to spend my birthday.

As you can guess, there were lots more photos, but I hope you’ve enjoyed the highlights!
